Add it
to Xcode

  1. Make your icon

Describe the app in a sentence, pick a style and choose from three options. Edit it until it reads at 60 pixels.

  2. Download the pack

The export pack is free with every icon. Unzip it and find the ios folder.

  3. Replace AppIcon

In Xcode, open Assets.xcassets, delete the existing AppIcon set and drag in ios/AppIcon.appiconset.

  4. Build

Xcode 14 and later generates every iPhone and iPad size from the single 1024 × 1024 image. Nothing else to resize.

One 1024 × 1024 master
The size App Store Connect and Xcode expect. Xcode makes the 180, 120, 87 and other device sizes from it.
No transparency
The App Store rejects icons with an alpha channel. The pack flattens your icon onto a solid background before export.
Full-bleed, square corners
iOS applies its own rounded mask. The artwork fills the square, so you never get a double edge.
Checked at real size
Before you download, preview your icon on a home screen next to other apps and down the size ladder to 29 px.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to make every iOS icon size?
No. Since Xcode 14, an iOS app icon needs one 1024 × 1024 image. Xcode generates the iPhone and iPad sizes when it builds your app, and the pack is set up that way.
Will the App Store accept the icon?
The pack follows the App Store's technical rules: a 1024 × 1024 PNG with no transparency and no rounded corners. Apple also reviews the design itself, so avoid copying other brands' logos.
Does it work for iPad and Apple Watch?
iPad uses the same AppIcon set, so yes. An Apple Watch app has its own icon set in Xcode; you can drop the same 1024 × 1024 source image from the pack into it.
Does it include dark and tinted icons?
Not yet. iOS makes its own dark and tinted versions from your regular icon until you add custom ones in Xcode.
Can I use the icon commercially?
Yes. Icons you generate can be used in personal and commercial apps, including apps you sell on the App Store.
How much does it cost?
Credit packs start at $10 for 100 credits, paid once. A guided round with three options costs 3 credits and the export pack is free. There is no subscription.
