Until now, the first thing a new account met on Appicons.ai was a price. You could describe your app and get icon ideas for free, but drawing a single option meant buying a pack first. That's a lot to ask before you've seen what the tool can do for your app.
So from today, every new account starts with 3 free credits. That's enough for one full round: three real icon options, drawn from your own description, before you spend a cent.
What you get
- 3 credits, added once to your account when you first sign in.
- One Standard round. A round draws three icon options at 1 credit each, so your free credits cover exactly one.
- No card. Sign up with an email and a password. There's nothing to cancel because there's nothing to subscribe to.
Create opens on Standard when your balance is below a Premium round, so your first round just works. You don't need to change any settings.
How to spend it well
Three options is a small number, so make each one count:
- Describe your app, not the icon. What it does and who it's for. "A budgeting app for couples who share a household" is plenty.
- Get icon ideas first. They're free, and Suggest different ideas is free too. Ask a few times until one makes you stop.
- Draw one of each idea, or pick your favourite. The default, One of each idea, turns your three options into three different directions, so you learn the most from one round. If one idea is clearly right, pick it and get three takes on it instead.

What's always free
Your free credits only go on drawing. Everything around it never costs a credit:
- Icon ideas, as many rounds as you like.
- The checks: home-screen previews, platform shapes, real sizes and the squint test.
- The download: one zip with every size for Xcode, Android Studio and the web, including the iOS dark and tinted icons and the Android themed layer.
So the icon from your free round is a real, shippable icon, with a commercial licence like any other.
Already have an account?
If you signed up before and never bought a pack, your account gets the same 3 free credits the next time you log in, as long as its balance is at zero. It shows in Billing as a free "starter" receipt.
The free credits are once per account, and accounts that have bought a pack don't get them.
After your free round
When you want to keep going, credits come in one-time packs: $10 for 100, $25 for 300 or $45 for 600. There's no subscription. A Standard round is 3 credits, a Premium round is 6, and every action shows its cost before you spend. Premium follows a described idea more closely and gets small details right, so it's worth trying once you have a direction. See pricing for the full list.
